Planting Seeds

When we decided to start a publishing company the three of us were sitting around my kitchen table in the small town of Copper City on the Keweenaw Peninsula (in case you can't find the Keweenaw Peninsula on your map, here is a handy link www.keweenaw.info). We knew that the local favorite plant, the thimbleberry, would have to figure in somewhere.

A kind of wild raspberry, thimbleberries have even more seeds than raspberries and beautiful, delicate white flowers. Since our main objectives in publishing are to encourage cultural and artistic understanding and to add beauty to the world whenever possible, this scrubby little wild, beautiful, delicious plant with the whimsical name seemed the perfect emblem.

We will periodically add personal essays, articles, and items of interest on this page with downloadable links at the left. We hope you enjoy the materials available here and whenever you find something valuable on this site you will share it. Afterall ideas, like seeds, can't grow unless they're planted.
